David Wittels
Managing Partner and President

David Wittels, President and Managing Partner, oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations and investment activities. David has more than 30 years of private equity experience. Prior to MRC, David was the President of Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior, David was a Partner and the Head of Private Equity at Scopia Capital Management. Before Scopia, David was a Co- Founder and Senior Managing Director of Diamond Castle Holdings and a Managing Director at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners. David currently serves on the Board of Directors of multiple JRC portfolio companies and has previously served on the Board of Directors of numerous public and private businesses across various industries. David received a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.

Richard Dresdale

Richard Dresdale, Partner, focuses on identifying, sourcing and executing private equity transactions. Richard has been a private equity investor for over 30 years. Prior to MRC, Richard was a founding member of Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior to forming JRC, Richard was a co-founder and managing director at Fenway Partners. Prior to Fenway, Richard was a Principal at Clayton Dubilier & Rice. Richard has served on the President’s Leadership Counsel of Brown University and the Board of the Brown University Sports Foundation.
He is the former Chairman of NYP Lawrence Hospital and a current Board Member of New York Presbyterian (“NYP”). Richard currently serves on the Board of Directors of multiple JRC portfolio companies along with other private corporations. Richard received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University.

Michael Somma

Michael Somma, Partner, focuses on identifying, analyzing and executing investments across a wide array of industries. Michael has 15 years of private equity experience. Prior to MRC, Michael was a founding member of Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior to forming JRC, Michael worked with David Wittels at Scopia Capital as a private equity investment professional. Before Scopia, Michael worked at Vestar Capital Partners and Cerberus Capital Management. Michael currently serves on the Board of Directors of multiple JRC portfolio companies and previously served on the Board of Directors of other private companies. Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from
Brown University.

Matthew Clancy

Matthew Clancy, Principal, focuses on identifying, analyzing and executing investments across a wide variety of industries. Matthew has 13 years of private equity experience. Prior to MRC, Matthew was a member of the team at Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior to JRC, Matthew worked as a private equity professional within the Private Capital Investing team at Goldman Sachs (currently referred to as GS Growth) with a specific focus on healthcare services, software/technology, and logistics. Matthew currently serves on the Board of Directors of Follett Higher Education and previously served as an observer on other private companies. Matthew received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College.

Aaron Hazan

Aaron Hazan, Vice President, focuses on identifying, analyzing and executing investments across a wide variety of industries. Aaron has eight years of private equity experience. Prior to MRC, Aaron was a member of the team at Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior to JRC, Aaron worked within the M&A department at Jefferies Investment Bank advising clients on the execution of M&A transactions across a wide variety of industries. Aaron also previously worked in the M&A department at Spirit Music Group. Aaron currently serves on the Board of Directors of Senior Care Therapy and as an observer on the Board of Directors of multiple JRC portfolio companies. Aaron received a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Accounting at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Adam Cohen

Adam Cohen, Vice President, focuses on identifying, analyzing and executing investments across a wide variety of industries. Adam has six years of private equity experience. Prior to MRC, Adam was a member of the team at Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior to joining JRC, Adam worked at KPMG LLC within their Transaction Services (financial due diligence) division focusing on buy side and sell side engagements for private equity clients. Adam serves as an observer on the Board of Directors of various portfolio companies. Adam received a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Accounting and Masters in Accounting at the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University and is a certified public accountant.

Ari Cepelewicz

Ari Cepelewicz, Senior Associate, focuses on identifying, analyzing and executing investments across a wide variety of industries. Ari has seven years of healthcare investment banking experience. Prior to MRC, Ari worked at BofA Securities, Leerink Partners and RBC Capital Markets advising clients on the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions with a focus on healthcare services. Ari also previously worked with the team at Jefferson River Capital. Ari received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Swarthmore College.

Derek Irwin

Derek Irwin, Partner, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, focuses on creating and driving value-added initiatives with MRC’s portfolio company management teams. Derek has more than 30 years of financial and operating management experience. Prior to MRC, Derek was a member of the team at Jefferson River Capital ("JRC"). Prior to joining JRC, Derek served as the Chief Financial Officer for leading global organizations including Trader Corporation, Intralinks Holdings, Hit Entertainment, The Nielsen Company, Ziff Davis Holdings, Monster Worldwide and Major League Baseball. He started his career at Ernst & Young. Derek has served on the board of public and private corporations, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University, and is a certified public accountant.

Jeffrey Winter
Senior Managing Director, Operating Partner, Healthcare
Jeffrey Winter, Senior Managing Director, Operating Partner, Healthcare Services, has over 40 years of Senior Executive experience leading hospital and health care organizations. Recently, Jeff served as President and CEO of an Autism Therapy Provider.
Prior roles included President of Kindred HealthCare’s $3 Billion Hospital Division and Dignity Health’s 14 California Hospital’s with $2 Billion in Revenues. Jeff also served in multiple senior level positions as Hospital CEO and VP of M&A with Hospital Corporation of America. Jeff has led multiple turn-arounds in his career through the introduction of strategic, cultural and systems interventions that has led to market leading financial and quality performance. Utilizing a transparent and collaborative yet highly accountable approach to leadership and best practices, Jeff has demonstrated consistent and quantifiable results in financial and quality outcomes for the companies he has led. Over his career, Jeff has led and helped to transform Religious/Non-Profit, Public and Privately held health care companies. Jeff received his MBA in Health Care Administration from Golden Gate University, San Francisco and is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives

Kenneth Brown
Senior Managing Director, Operating Partner, Industrials

Kenneth Brown, Senior Managing Director, Operating Partner, Industrials, focuses on creating and driving value-added initiatives with MRC’s portfolio company management teams. Kenneth has over 40 years of operating experience with 20 years of senior executive experience leading organizations. Kenneth served as a Group President within Roper Technologies, leading companies to perform best in class, over 32% EBITDA. Kenneth has proven success in selecting and developing business leaders, business strategies and execution of strategies to exceed market performance. Prior to Roper, Kenneth held multiple executive positions at Invensys (now Schneider Electric) and spent early career years at a variety of industrial companies; Emerson Electric, McMaster- Carr, MidwestCo and Conoco. Kenneth currently serves on a number of boards and is board level advisor on other technology companies. Mr. Brown has an BS Engineering Degree from University of Colorado and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Jennifer Steeves-Kiss
Operating Advisor, Digital Marketing
Jennifer Steeves-Kiss, Operating Advisor, Digital Marketing, brings more than 25 years of brand building, business turnarounds and product development experience. Her expertise spans development of cost acquisition models, marketing and data technology to enable growth marketing, agile software development, strategic planning, innovation, communication development, market research, and search engine optimization. Jennifer is passionate about enabling teams to grow the business. Jennifer was most recently Chief Experience Officer of Rocket Central. In this role, Jennifer led the Rocket Companies Platform and its corresponding business areas including Rocket Money, Data Intelligence, Product Strategy, Marketing, Business Agility, Client Growth, and Technology. Jennifer also served as Chief Executive Officer of Dictionary.com where she focused on growing the company’s user base and improving user experience. Prior to these roles, Jennifer spent her career driving global consumer businesses including 17 years at Procter & Gamble leading billion-dollar brands. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts from Queens University.

Grace Niland
Operating Advisor, Human Resources & Talent Acquisition
Grace Niland, Operating Advisor, Human Resources & Talent Acquisition, brings more than 35 years of in-depth HR expertise; both domestically and internationally. She is a highly collaborative strategic HR partner, with a focus on people engagement, talent acquisition, organizational design, leadership/employee development and succession planning, skilled in business transformation and continuous improvement. Early on in her career, she spent a decade in Compensation, Benefits and HRIS. Grace’s career spanned over 25 years with United Technologies Corporation (UTC), now known as Raytheon Technologies Corporation. She held positions of increasing responsibility in Human Resources with the Aerospace and Commercial businesses, Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Carrier, and Otis Elevator. In addition, she was the HR lead at UTC Power, an alternative fuel cell company, where she was Chief Spokesperson for their contract negotiations and rotated through UTC World Headquarters in Executive Compensation and later returned to partner with the Digital Technology group. Grace’s most recent role was with Corning, Inc. Grace earned her MBA from Syracuse University, Whitman School of Management and Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Labor Relations from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY.

Beate Bellina
Executive Assistant / Office Manager

Beate Bellina is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm. Responsibilities include facilities management, managing the office space, benefit programs, accounting, IT and providing administrative support to multiple employees. Beate received a Bachelor of Arts degree from National University of Ireland, Galway.
